Sexually Transmitted Infections
We offer confidential testing and treatment for most sexually transmitted infections. Some infections occur without either partner knowing about them - you may have an infection, but not any symptoms. The only way to know if you have an infection is to come in for an exam. Be sure to tell your health care provider if you think you might have been exposed to an infection or are concerned about having one.
The bottom line is this: take care of yourself! Don't be afraid to come in to see us. We will never judge you, and we are here to give you accurate information and help. If you need medications, we have most of them at the clinic, so you might not even have to go to the drug store.
What about HIV/AIDS?
HIV is the most dangerous sexually transmitted infection. There is no cure. Early detection is extremely important because there are medications you can take to help you live better and longer. We do testing for HIV with an oral swab. No blood is necessary unless the oral swab test is positive, then the blood test is used to make sure you have HIV.
Remember, if you are worried, find out for sure. We offer confidential testing (we know your name, but keep it confidential) or anonymous testing (you test with a number). All HIV tests are by appointment and we have specially certified counselors to help you!

How to call for an appointment
Every Planned Parenthood Center offers testing for most sexually transmitted infections. Some offer testing for males as well. Just call and ask for an appointment for an "infection check" and we will make one for you! You can find the center nearest you by calling 1-800-230-PLAN.

How do I pay for the visit?
We accept cash, checks, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card. Payment is expected at the time of your visit. Ask if you qualify for state/federal grant dollars which may be available to help you. If you have Medicaid, bring your card with you. Almost all, if not all, services are covered. If you have private insurance, we can give you a receipt that you can send in to your company to see if they reimburse for the services you received.
